Social Media

 Hello!!

So this post is kinda a collab with @teensurvivalkit1 (go check them out on instagram)!!

So today's topic is going to be about how social media has changed our lives.

It seems so weird that Instagram was only created in 2010!! Personally, I use it every day and it is the most used social media app in the world. You also have so many other social media apps in this world:

.twitter

.snapchat

.tick tock

.youtube

.facebook

.pinterest

The list is endless and it seems crazy that my parents never had any form of electronics when they grew up and that was only 30 years ago. Our world can change so quickly and especially with social media users going up every day, I honestly wonder how much of my life I base around social media.

I know I'm not the only person who sees social media stars like Loren Grey with their 'perfect' bodies then compare them to myself. Although, there are many stars I look up to and admire so much (Taylor Swift 😀) but loads of them I look at to then feel instantly insecure about myself.

Social media can be kind of dangerous at times. I can waste so much of my life looking at stupid videos like really bad X Factor auditions when they really won't change my life at all!!

It seems scary to think that I can click on one thing on the internet then my phone almost knows me. Social media gives us exactly what we want. Like whenever I go onto youtube my suggested videos are always to do with X Factor hahahaha.

I also can't be the only person that has looked up something on Amazon then for me to go on a random app two days later to find that exact thing I was looking at being advertised.

I'm not saying that social media shouldn't exist because there are definitely a load of positives to it! I have a load of family who live in different countries to me and social media has enabled me to be able to keep in touch with them. This blog is also on social media and I am so lucky to be able to do this. I also use Instagram to promote my blog and I use social media all the time to help me with my homework. So many world issues are also brought to light through social media. The BLM movement would have go nowhere without social media, like the #blackoutfriday.

I honestly don't think this topic is talked about enough so feel free to bombard the comment section with all of your thoughts!!

Lots of love as always,

TG xxx
